1. Use unique field names in the first row and avoid merged cells or title rows inside the data.
2. Confirm formats for leading-zero codes, long numbers and dates.
3. Save and close Excel if it is locking the workbook.
4. Connect BarTender to the correct workbook and worksheet and inspect the preview.
5. Bind text, barcode or QR-code objects to the matching database fields.
6. Select only the records required for this print run and test several different rows.
7. After editing Excel, save it and refresh or reopen the BarTender document.
