Managing default and product-specific BarTender templates

A household and personal care retailer needed default templates for regular and promotional labels while allowing selected products to use dedicated layouts. Products without a separate setting continued to use the default template at the store printing client.
The delivered template-management screen supports product queries and individual assignments, as well as global defaults. After an administrator selects a BTW file, the application uses the BarTender SDK to export the first print preview as an image. The administrator can check the layout before uploading the file. Regular and promotional templates are recorded separately. Product-specific settings take priority; when absent, the printing client uses the global template stored under the default configuration.
Administrators can also remove regular or promotional assignments for selected products. During the main data synchronization flow, the store client compares backend template names with its local records. A changed name or missing local file triggers another download.
The delivered functions include default fallback, product-template precedence, preview and distribution through synchronization. Version management, approval and download arrangements can be designed separately around the customer's management process.

Can a template be previewed before upload? Yes. The application exports an image of the first print preview through the BarTender SDK.
Which template has priority? A product-specific template takes priority; the global default is used when no product template is configured.
Is template version rollback included? The delivered flow covers preview, upload, assignment, removal and synchronization. Version rollback and approval requirements need separate agreement.
