Using store-specific product and price data for BarTender labels
Different stores in a household and personal care retail business do not always use the same product and promotion ranges. If the printing client reads an undifferentiated master list, operators have difficulty identifying the records relevant to their store.
The delivered desktop application includes store selection and product synchronization. It reads the store list, saves the selected store and retrieves applicable products from a business data view. The query gives priority to store-specific records, then adds global and unassigned-scope records that have not been superseded. The synchronized results are cached locally for subsequent queries, change detection and BarTender printing.
| Record group | Treatment |
|---|---|
| Store-specific | Keep first for the selected store. |
| Global | Add product codes not already covered. |
| Unassigned scope | Add applicable codes not already covered. |
Use the same store context on desktop and mobile.

The product view supplies fields including brand, product name, primary barcode, product code, regular price, promotional price, and promotion start and end dates. The mobile application uses the same selected-store context to query products, giving scanning and desktop operations a consistent scope.
The system provides a price-label printing entry point organized around the current store. Connecting another ERP, POS or WMS requires configuration against its actual fields and store-scope rules.
Procurement questions
Do store-specific records take precedence over global products? Yes. The existing query retains store-specific records first, then adds global or unassigned records whose product codes have not already been covered.
Where does the store list come from? The desktop client reads the backend store table and provides an import entry for counter information. The mobile client reads the store list from the same business database.
Does this cover every retail system? The implementation uses this project's data views and field definitions. A connection to another retail system requires a separate interface and field review.
